Thursday, February 8, 2024
2:00 PM ET to 3:00 PM ET | Online

Audience:

Open industry. All apparel and footwear industry professionals, regardless of AAFA membership, are encouraged to participate.

Description:

Explore the indispensable role of automation and supply chain mapping tools in mitigating risks with UFLPA for U.S. apparel and footwear importers. We'll discuss how these new tools, enhanced by Open-Source Intelligence and Machine-Learning, use diverse data sources to facilitate detailed product reports that extend to shipment level.

Mapping of the supply chain and its involved parties through several tiers is essential to work toward due diligence obligations, down to the lowest tier of supply, by linking raw material production and supplier practices across your value chain and providing data into supply chain actors. We will also dive into the rise of 'Intellectual-Property leakage.' Such thorough analysis is vital for minimizing the risk of forced-labor involvement in the supply chain. Importers are tasked with incorporating the results of these tools into their compliance program to predict and avoid supply chain disruption, CBP holds, added costs, UFLPA standards, and ESG issues.

Attendees of this webinar will learn:
  • The value of shipment-based output reports using proactive prediction scoring against benchmarks, and explore what the return on investment (ROI) automated mapping tools bring to the U.S. apparel industry.
  • How machine learning and diverse data sources, including traceable data lineage, be used to detect forced labor across different tiers of suppliers and help companies in aligning with the UFLPA Operational Guidance for Importers issued by U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
  • About the secure use of these tools to guarantee data confidentiality and exclusive access to vital insights and the importance of safely deploying these technologies within your firewall for enhanced security, which is crucial for protecting intellectual property.
