She is the director of sustainability at tentree, an apparel brand that uses sustainable materials, practices ethical manufacturing, and plants 10 trees for every item sold. She is a research professional with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Geography and the Environment from the University of Oxford. Before tentree, she was a senior manager and researcher at World Resources Institute,a non-profit organization focused on solving major global challenges, including climate, energy, food, forests, and water.
 
 
Jason Kibbey

He is the CEO of Higg, a technology company helping brands, retailers, and manufacturers measure and improve their supply chain impact using the Higg Index, a universal sustainability measurement. Before Higg, Jason was the first employee and CEO of the Sustainable Apparel Coalition, a group of leading brands, retailers, manufacturers, non-governmental organizations, and academic experts working to reduce the environmental and social impacts of the apparel and footwear sector. He has also been an environmental and sustainability leader at PACT and Patagonia. Jason graduated from University of California (UC) Berkeley with a BS in Environmental Economics and Policy and a BA in Religious Studies, and received his MBA from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.

Susan Lapetina leads AAFA’s education, programming, and special events initiatives. An experienced executive in meetings, events, marketing, and strategic planning, she directs the association’s signature events, the Executive Summit, Hong Kong Summit, American Image Awards, as well as AAFA’s Board meetings. Susan launched AAFA’s international training conference series throughout Asia and built its webinar platform. Spearheading AAFA’s Elite sponsor program, Susan works closely with supplier members to bring them visibility and recognition among association members. Before joining AAFA in 1999, she was Principal of Marketing Evolutions, a strategic planning services firm focused on associations and nonprofits. She also served as the Director of Marketing at the International Association of Fire Chiefs and the American Society of Landscape Architects. A graduate of Canisius College, Susan is originally from upstate New York.
