What is covered under the Care Labeling Rule?
Textile apparel that is worn to cover or protect the body is subject to the Care Labeling Rule. Shoes, gloves, and hats are exempt from the rule. Several items are excluded including handkerchiefs, belts, suspenders, neckties, and single-use non-woven garments because they do not cover or protect the body.
