What are the labeling requirements for products with wool?

In the U.S., all wool products must be accurately labeled with the percentage of wool fibers in the product, the manufacturer’s name, and the country of origin. According to the Wool Products Labeling Act, wool refers to fibers from sheep fleece and lamb fleece as well as Angora, Cashmere, camel, alpaca, llama, and vicuna hair. This act also provides a definition for recycled wool, which must be labeled as well.
