Government Relations Committee Meeting July 2017
On July 12, we will meet to discuss pending trade and commercial matters critical for the apparel and footwear industry.
Open only to AAFA Government Relations Committee members and invited guests – the AAFA Government Relations Committee meeting is a “must-attend” event for anybody who wants to learn about and affect key trade, customs, regulatory, and legislative issues impacting the industry in 2017. Meetings typically feature discussions with officials from Congress and several Executive Branch agencies, including the office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR), the U.S. Department of Commerce, the U.S. Department of Labor, the U.S. Department of State, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). The meeting will also include a session to prepare advocates for a Day of Action on the hill on the following day.
The meeting is hosted by Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg
On July 13, we will visit congress to meet with lawmakers and their staff to press for action on key issues and to educate them on policies that can support a competitive apparel and footwear industry.
