The Social Responsibility Committee will meet on the morning of Tuesday, July 23, followed by a joint lunch with the Environmental Committee at 12:30 PM ET. The Environmental Committee Meeting will conclude at 5:00 PM ET. Separate registration is required for each meeting. Attendees of both committee meetings are welcome to attend the Traceability & Sustainability Conference reception that evening. Participation in AAFA Committee Meetings is limited to AAFA members only. 


The conference is held in conjunction with AAFA’s Social Responsibility Committee and Environmental Committee Meetings and kicks off with a Welcome Reception on Tuesday, July 23, with the full-day conference on Wednesday, July 24, hosted by Carhartt, Inc. The committee meetings are open to AAFA members only and separate registration is required.  

Description 

This program responds to the industry's increasing urgency to tackle issues such as climate change, worker rights, circular practices, water conservation, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) objectives. The importance of mapping and tracking our supply chains has never been greater. Achieving transparency and sustainability throughout the supply chain has become vital to encourage responsible policies and actions. With considerations like brand reputation, staying compliant with regulations, and safeguarding the planet's future, prioritizing the mapping of supply chains has become a necessary step. It's not only about demonstrating commitments to consumers and government regulators but also aligning with internal values and targets to contribute positively and help safeguard our world.  

Co-located with this conference, AAFA’s Environmental and Social Responsibility Committee meetings provide attending members with expanded resources and alignment.   

Audience

All apparel, footwear, and fashion retail industry professionals are encouraged and welcome to participate including compliance, supply chain, corporate social responsibility, environmental, and sustainability professionals are invited to register. This program is closed to press attendance and coverage.

Transportation Information

Roundtrip bus transportation will be provided between the DoubleTree Hotel and the Henry Ford Museum on Wednesday, July 24. Return transportation to the DoubleTree from the reception at Carhartt will be available on Tuesday, July 23.

For AAFA members attending the Social Responsibility Committee Meeting, bus transportation will be provided from the DoubleTree to the meeting on Tuesday morning. Following the Environmental Committee Meeting, transportation will be available from the Henry Ford Museum to the reception at Carhartt. 

Registration Information - registration is closed and the conference is sold out.  

Cancellation Policy: No refunds will be issued after July 9, 2024. Substitutions are always permitted.
