Description:

2024 marks the second anniversary of the Employment Injury Scheme (EIS) Pilot in Bangladesh's garment sector. This pioneering scheme proposes a social insurance approach to work-related injuries and is set to achieve systemic and sustainable transformation enshrined in the country’s legal and institutional frameworks by June 2027. In just two years, the EIS Pilot has made impressive strides:
  • It covers all garment factories in Bangladesh.
  • Over 54 leading brands have pledged their support to this systemic change, demonstrating a substantial portion of international buyers' commitment to the cause.
  • The Pilot has established a streamlined process to ensure benefits meet international labour standards.
  • A dedicated tripartite board convenes regularly to approve benefits swiftly.
  • The Pilot’s coverage was expanded to include commuting accidents.
  • The Pilot contributes to more rapid rehabilitation and return to work processes.

But the journey of the Pilot continues. As we embark on its third year, this webinar presents your final opportunity to learn about and join this historic initiative.

Hosted by AAFA, this unique webinar offers insights into the Pilot’s latest developments and will include a discussion with other brands who have embraced the Pilot, explaining why their participation was an unequivocal choice.

Don’t miss this chance to be part of history in the making!
