Description:
Monthly AAFA member-only calls to discuss the state of play, strategy, and next steps on the AAFA digital labeling initiative. Through AAFA’s digital labeling initiative, AAFA will lobby the U.S. and foreign governments to allow for the use of digital labels, such as QR codes, on garments to deliver required labeling information, such as care and fiber content. A move to digital labels will eliminate the millions of miles of label tape that are used in garments every year and make key information more accessible to consumers, particularly visually-impaired consumers. Just as important, digital labels will enable brands to deliver more information to the consumer, particularly on the sustainability, re-use, and recycling of the garment.
